How To Order

This is a summary of the process that we will be going through when you are ready to start your project.

Step One Contact:

  • Contact me to discuss what your project entails. If you are local to the area we will set up a time to meet and discuss further project details. If you are not from the Coral Springs, Fl area all our correspondence will be done via email, phone, instant messenger, or postal mail whichever you prefer.
  • During our first consultation we will discuss things such as, album preference, color choices, journaling options, and other details. You will need to provide me with an estimate of how many photos you will be including in the project.  

Step Two Organize:

  • You will need to organize your photos according to event into envelopes or Ziploc bags with a label in each envelope or bag. On each label you can be as specific as desired but there needs to be at least an event title and date. (example:  Disney Vacation Summer 2008) You can number the photos on the lower back corner then write on the piece of paper what information you want with the picture next to the corresponding number.  
  • Please do NOT write on the back of the photos.
  • You do NOT need all your journaling completed now! You can add more journaling during the consultation of each layout.
  • I will determine how many photos will fit on a page for you. Sometimes including ALL photos in a scrapbook can be a challenge, but I can do it if you want them all in your album.  However, this album may have many pages which will increase your price.  If there are certain pictures that you DEFINITELY want in your scrapbook please note that along with your photos.
  • Any pictures not used will be returned with the completed album (once final payment is received and cleared).

Step Three Purchase Album, Pages, and Page Protectors:

  • The quoted price does NOT include the album or page protectors.  You will have to purchase this on your own.
  • You can find all kinds of scrapbooks and accessories at Wal-Mart, JoAnn’s, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, or on an online website.  If you purchase an album online you may ship the album directly to me to save yourself money on shipping.
  • Please note some albums do not have page protectors. Please purchase protectors separately if your album does not come with them.  I like the post bound albums because most of them come with Top Loading page protected pages, but choose what you like the best.

Step Four Customer Agreement & Payment:

  • Print, sign, and date the Customer Agreement and include with your photos.
  • Your photos, memorabilia, signed contract, and 50% non-refundable down payment of the original estimate will then be sent to me in Coral Springs, Fl tracked and insured and if you are local you can deliver or we can meet or I can pick-up.  Note:  If you are paying electronically then you need not send payment with the package.  I accept cash, personal check, cashier’s check, money order, or pay-pal.  I am able to accept credit cards through pay-pal if you wish to use a credit card. If paying by check please make checks payable to Darlene Pena

Step Five Mail:

  • Pack all your pictures securely in a box to ensure they will not move around.
  • Include signed and dated Customer Agreement in your package.
  • As I wait for payment to clear I will go through the items received and provide a re-estimate if necessary.  (Yes I have had some clients overestimate and their project ends up being ½ of what was originally estimated and I have had some that underestimate and their project ends up being more then expected-so the better estimate of photos provided the more accurate the estimate will be.)
  • As soon as payment clears I will begin working on your project-updating you throughout the process via email and phone as well as posting the layouts on a secure & private website.

Step Seven Finished:

  • When you are satisfied with the completed project the remaining balance will be due.
  • It is your choice if you want your completed project shipped certified and/or insured (You are responsible for ALL shipping and handling charges).
  • When the project is complete I will email you the final bill (which includes all shipping & handling charges).
  • Once payment is received and cleared from the bank I will send the completed album to you.  If you are local I will deliver your completed album to you.  A detailed receipt will be provided for your records.
